Congratulations to the newly crowned 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess, Sarah Lambros!

If you are thinking about running for Stampede Royalty in the future, please take a look at the following requirements:
  • Must identify as female, not younger than 19 years of age and not older than 24 years of age as of March 31, 2024.​
  • Must have received a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have basic social media fluency and understanding. 
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Must be a resident of Alberta for at least 12 months previous to application.
  • Must possess a current passport valid for at least 12 months after crowning.
  • Must not have a criminal record and must consent to a background check.
  • Must agree to reside within 100 km of Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta if you are successful in the contest. Your place of employment or educational institution must also meet this requirement.
  • If crowned, must possess a current, valid Class 5 driver’s license on or before December 31, 2022 and have reliable access to a vehicle.
  • Must be fully committed to the 12-month reign and promotion of the Calgary Stampede. Formal training for crowned candidates will begin effective immediately following the crowning event, with formal Royalty duties beginning on January 1st, 2023 through to December 31st, 2023.
